The Executive Committee of the MLW Board of Directors is seeking a student to fill the role of Student Member on the governing body of the organization. This is a voting position and requires attendance at the three meetings around the state of Maryland during the year (April, October, January). The term, which begins in April, lasts one full year.
The application should be a current high school or post secondary school student who has familiarity with the programs of MLW. High School students may be able to earn Student Service Learning hours for their service. Check with your SSL coordinator.
If you are interested in serving on the Board, please send a letter of interest outlining your experience with MLW, student leadership in general and why you would like to serve on this board. Letters should be addressed to the Executive Committee and sent to the MLW Office, P.O. Box 83846, Gaithersburg, MD 20883. Letters of interest should be received by March 1, 2012. The executive committee will review applications and make a recommendation to the full Board which will vote by email so that the new student member can attend the April meeting.
